This was my first time coming here to eat breakfast with my family. I ordered chocolate chip pancake, and scrambled egg for my daughter and I will say she loved it!! I ordered everything omelet for my self which came with toast and hashbrowns. My husband ordered the Denver omelet and he also loved his. Over all I would recommend this place for fast service, delicious meal, and the workers are nice here . I also loved the fact that you get to choose your own seats so you don't have to wait too long. They also have all you can eat breakfast buffet and that has a lot of options as well. Definitely coming back.
I had done a review 3+ years ago and here's an update since then.. My family and I dined there this afternoon around 3pm.. the place was not busy, it was clean, the service was polite and friendly.. I had the all you can eat salad bar which was very good, plenty of items to choose from.. my mom had the chicken tenders meal and said it was very good.. my brother had the cheese curds and eggs Benedict made with breakfast sausage and breakfast potatoes, he said he would order it again.. Keep up the good work!! Would highly recommend to eat at this establishment ** Have eaten here a few other times and the country fried steak meal is very good as well as the pot roast meal..

Such a cute place happen to stumble on it for lunch. Food portions were HUGE The prices were great The food tasted wonderful. I was very happy that we stopped and will definitely go back. 10🌟🌟service was excellent the waitress was friendly.
This is our 3rd time back and it get's better each time. We had Rachel as our server for the 3rd time and she's awesome. The food and service were exceptional. The owner Tim, took time to come chat with our group from Anoka and he gave us a little history lesson about the Cafe. Thanks for everything Rachel and Tim, and we will see you soon.
Great wee place. Food is good, daily specials are very well priced, salad bar a great addition to main meals and the home made soups are pretty special. To top it all the staff are superb, supremely efficient with a spark of bright friendliness that warms the diners even before they start eating. Although not as obvious as the waiting staff the kitchen team seem very accommodating in making small adaptations to menu meals and listening to kitchen interactions with the waiting staff there seems to be genuine wish to serve customers well. I highly recommend this place as a highway cafe 👍
I love the food here. The service is pretty good the staff is so friendly and very understanding especially since we have food allergies in my family. The atmosphere is good not usually too loud. It a nice place for a family meal.
Walleye was ok, pork chop dinner was AMAZING!! Great salad bar. The Friday fish buffet was delicious also!! They served fried fish& shrimp, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes with country gravy, green beans, fried rice and popovers with honey butter. We will definitely go back!!
Exactly the kind of café you think about when somebody says they greet the customers by name. :) What a gem in downtown Big Lake! No wonder they’ve been around for 50 years, this place has everything: atmosphere, amazing interpersonal relationships, (the staff feels like family) and the most incredible food. Not only that but the owner is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Do not miss. 10/10 will be back.
